Onboard the Yamaha FZR250R

A Yamaha FZR250R used, (although a better term is trashed) in 2014 is a big telltale of the quality of these bikes.

The Yamaha  FZR250R motorcycle was a Japan only 250cc learner legal race replica. However it was grey-imported to other countries around the world. The FZR250 was produced from 1986 to 1988. 1989 to 1994 models were called FZR250R and gained Yamaha's exhaust power valve technology - EXUP (EXhaust Ultimate Power).

All four of the major Japanese motorcycle manufacturers produced a high-revving, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke motorcycle capable of producing up to 45 HP (33 kW). They are the Honda CBR250, KawasakiZXR250, Suzuki GSX-R250 and the Yamaha FZR250. With limited exceptions, these bikes were generally only officially available in Japan. However they (particularly the CBR250 and ZXR250) were available in the rest of the world as grey market imports.
